CGA Q&A

What does CGA stand for?

Center for Global Action

What is it?

CGA is a 5-month discipleship program that allows World Race alumni to explore and follow the calling that the Lord has given them. During my time there, I will be in the field leadership track, which means I will be taking classes so I can learn and develop the characteristics of what it looks like to be a good leader and how to lead others out onto the missions field.

Where will you live?

I will be moving down to Gainesville, GA on October 6th. The “apprentices,” or CGA students, will be placed in different houses in the community. I get the privilege to do life everyday with the 6 to 10 people that I live in a house with!

How long will you be there for?

The program is 5 months long, so I will be there from the beginning of October to the beginning of March. Don’t worry, I’ll be home for Christmas this year though 😉

How much do you need to fundraise?

The total cost for my program is $5,950.

What does this money go towards?

The money that I fundraise for will go towards the program cost and housing.

When do you need all the money in your account by?

Just like when I was on the World Race, I will have deadlines for when certain amounts of money need to be in my account. Here they are:

October 6th: $2,500

November 6th: $3,500

December 6th: $4,500

January 6th: $5,950

What will your days look like when you’re there?

Monday: 9am-5pm teachings and community time

Thursday through Friday: 9am-12pm teachings. Afternoons are free for working a part time job

What are you going to do for a job?

I’m starting to look at job openings but I would love to work in a little boutique and get some practice for when I open up my own 🙂

How is this going to prepare you for your next step?

If you have talked to me about the race since I got home or you have read my last blog about CGA, you probably know that I feel like the Lord is calling me to step up and be a leader so I can ultimately head up a missions department in the church. When He told me about this back in El Salvador, I literally just laughed and thought there’s no way I could possibly do that. Then I kept hearing about CGA and that this is where I was going to grow more into the leader that he made me and that it would give me the tools I need to take that next step.

How can I help?

I would love to partner with you on this new journey that the Lord has called me to! I have 3 ways that you can help me out!

Prayer, prayer, and more prayer! This next season is going to be tough but so worth it! I would love all the prayers for me, the other apprentices, money, and that the Lord really works through me and shapes me more into who I was created to be.

Encouragement! As I just said, this is going to be tough. I’m sure that there are days when I’m just feeling down or over it, but I would love to have you there to help keep me going.

Finances! If you feel led to partner with me financially, it’s super easy to do through my blog. You can donate [one-time or monthly donations] by clicking on the orange “DONATE” button on my fundraising bar.

Would you prayerfully consider joining me on this new journey? Because I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU 🙂

We’re doing big things for the kingdom so thank you for all the love and support you guys have continuously shown me!
